Walkers completes the transport of 2 x 43 Meter Long x 140 Tonne steel bridge section beams from Nottingham to London. The steel beams will be used in the construction of a new bridge on the Stratford Rail Line at Tottenham. Walkers beared the beam using its 5 axle Bogey units at the rear and a heavy 4 axle step-frame trailer at the front.
The Bogey trailer set-ups enables Walkers to transport very long heavy mainly steel and precast concrete beams, which are used in the construction of bridges. The transport of theses long loads is a very technical and involved job often involving a Police escort motorcade at night.
