Demolition works are finally complete at the former SLI-Glassworks, Harworth, Doncaster.

Demolition works are finally complete at the former SLI-Glassworks, Harworth, Doncaster and the site is now ready for developpment. The two remaining 160ft chimney stacks were blown up on the 28th August, filmed by Calendar News, with £7500 of funds raised from the event going to the Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice.
The site totals 35 acres and is capable of accommodating up to a 700,000sqft warehouse/distribution unit. Although there has been initial interest from Intermodal container storage and waste disposal companies an end user is yet to be established and the site will remain as leasable hard-core standing until one can be found. The main bonus of the site is that it is rail-linked and only 2 miles from junction 34 of the A1(M).
